Bayern Munich was one of the first clubs to go over and beyond when it comes to digital and they have now launched a number of new apps for the upcoming 2016/17 season.

The new mobile applications, which have been designed and developed by Omnigon, are in both England and German and available on both iOS and Android smartphone and tablet devices.

The apps will feature a match centre which will showcase fixtures, scores, results, tables, match statistics (Bundesliga, UEFA Champions League, and the DFB Cup), news, photo galleries and a full squad page.

Stefan Mennerich, Director of Media, Digital and Communications at FC Bayern Munich, said: “We chose to work with Omnigon because they are the absolute benchmark for app providers in the sports industry.

“Both the Android as well as the iOS app have been well-received among our fans, and we are proud to have taken the next step of our digitalisation process together.”

In addition, there will be more features which will be added to the app. These including enabling fans to track their favourite players, delivering content based on fan context – whether they are on the go, watching on TV, or attending the live match – and giving fans access to the German giant’s TV hub to watch highlights and post-match interviews.
